Beyoncé used her spectacular NFL performance on Wednesday as a welcome distraction from the ‘mess’ her husband Jay-Z’s rape lawsuit has caused her family, a source revealed.
The source told DailyMail.com that the 43-year-old was able to use the high-profile performance to distract herself from her personal life and remind people that she is still the best performer in music today.
“One important and wonderful result of her performance was that it gave her some time to not worry about anything Jay is going through with his lawsuit,” the source explained.
“She was so engrossed in her performance, so worried about Blue Ivy, and so engrossed in all the details of the performance that she took away any thoughts about the disaster they will face as a family over the next few months,” they said. continued.
The source added that hitmaker Cowboy Carter was able to release “a lot of stress” on stage during the halftime show.
“She is a professional and she and her team knew she was going to succeed, but those nerves are what motivate her, they make her want to keep doing it,” they said.
“She wanted to convince the world that she is the best performer in the world and she believes she has proven that tenfold.”
DailyMail.com has contacted Beyoncé and Jay-Z for comment.
Beyoncé used her NFL performance on Wednesday as a welcome distraction from the ‘mess’ her husband Jay-Z’s rape lawsuit has caused her family, a source revealed.
Jay-Z, 55, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 55, at a VMA after-party in 2000. Both men have denied the accusations.
The Netflix halftime show at NRG Stadium during the Houston Texas vs. Baltimore Ravens game marked the star’s first performance since the allegations against her husband came to light.
Jay-Z, 55, has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, 55, at a VMA after-party in 2000. Both men have denied the allegations.
He was noticeably missing from Beyoncé’s halftime performance on Wednesday night, which also featured her eldest daughter, 12-year-old Blue Ivy Carter.
Jay-Z likely secured the TV spot for Beyoncé, 43, as he serves as executive producer of entertainment events for the NFL, including the famous show.
Dressed all in white and with blonde hair, Beyoncé took the stage performing a 15-minute selection of songs from her latest album, Cowboy Carter.
It comes after Jay-Z became the first celebrity to be named alongside Diddy earlier this month in one of the countless lawsuits filed against Combs.
The anonymous victim in the lawsuit previously referred to the rapper, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, as ‘Celebrity A’ in the bombshell filing, which also involved an as-yet-unnamed female star known as ‘Celebrity B.’
His attorney, Tony Buzbee, who represents more than 100 of Diddy’s alleged victims, has now also named Jay-Z as the celebrity who allegedly “filed a frivolous case under a pseudonym” against the accuser’s legal team.
“One important and wonderful result of his performance was that it gave him some time to not worry about what Jay is going through with his lawsuit,” a source told DailyMail.com.
The Texas-based attorney claimed that Jay-Z has “tried to intimidate and harass” him and his client over the incident that allegedly occurred at a VMA after-party in 2000, but this backfired by “cheering them up.” ” to take the case to court.
“Regarding the Jay-Z case and his efforts to silence my clients: Mr. Carter previously denied that he was the one who sued me and my company,” Buzbee said in a statement.
‘He presented his frivolous case under a pseudonym. What you don’t say in your recent statement is that my firm sent your attorney a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a cent from you.
‘Instead, she only sought confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on his behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but has attempted to intimidate and harass me and this plaintiff.
‘His behavior has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened. I am very proud of your determination. As to the allegations contained in the filed complaint, we will let the filing speak for itself and will litigate the facts in court, not in the media.’
Buzbee also told The New York Times in an email that he followed proper “legal practice” in “sending a basic litigation demand letter” to Jay-Z and his camp.
The lawyer said he tried to get a “confidential sit-down” with the rapper to protect his client’s identity.
“We will not get caught up in a silly show that attempts to make lawyers the center of very serious allegations brought forward by a brave woman,” Buzbee told the newspaper.
Beyoncé performed a 15-minute, eight-song medley during the football game, which featured her daughter Blue Ivy.
Jay-Z issued a harsh response to DailyMail.com, accusing the victim of trying to “blackmail” him and saying he feared his three children with Beyoncé would have to “endure” harassment in the wake of the allegations.
The rapper said he is especially worried about Blue Ivy. He said he fears she will face questions from her friends about the lawsuit.
The couple also shares seven-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” Jay-Z told DailyMail.com.
“My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is of an age where his friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of the people.”
