Ben Foden has hailed his fellow Dancing On Ice star Rachel Stevens as the “sexiest woman in the world.”

During an exclusive interview with MailOnline, the rugby union player joked that he has “all the habits a skater shouldn’t have,” but is unfazed by what may be the most daunting element of routines – the elevators.

The Rugby United New York sports star praised his fellow competitors, noting the grace of Rachel Steven, the energy of Connor Ball and the way Regan Gascoigne took to the ice like a ‘duck to water’.
“If I want to get as far as I want to in this match, I’ll have to leave some beads on the ice or something!” he added.

Ben is the proud father of three children: Aoife, nine, and Tadhg, six – who he shares with his ex-wife Una Healy – and 20-month-old Farrah with wife Jackie Belanoff-Smith.
He spoke of his brood’s excitement, before reflecting on their disappointment when he was eliminated from Celebrity X Factor along with Levi Davis and Thom Evans in 2019 as part of trio Try Star.
‘They saw me dancing with Robin’ [Johnstone] and they said, “Oh daddy, you’re really good!” They are very excited about it.
“The last experience they had with a show they came to was The X Factor when Try Star did it — and it was the last show we started on. So they were in tears at the end! Hopefully it won’t be a repeat when they come to watch [Dancing On Ice],’ he said.

The only lingering entity that has made this a different experience for Ben compared to his other endeavors is the pandemic.
“It means we can’t see each other as often as we’d like, or after that we can’t hang out, chat, laugh, have a drink.
“One thing I know about this group of people is that they are great. We just have good energy. I’m gutted that we won’t have those moments after the show where we can all get together and hang out.
“It’s important for ITV to have those protocols in place because it’s important for the show to go on – we want it to go on,” he noted.
