Ben Cousins ​​left The Front Bar panel baffled on Wednesday after revealing why Home and Away is his favorite TV show.

Football legend Cousins, 45, was the special guest on this week’s panel where he talked about his incredible career and how he’s happier than ever.

Cousins’ troubles off the football field are well documented, as he was jailed six times over 13 years, but the teetotaling legend didn’t have a drink on hand on the show, where guests typically join the hosts for Drink beer.

And in a series of rapid-fire questions, Cousins ​​revealed that one of his jail stays helped him develop his love for classic Australian soap opera Home and Away.

When asked what he considers his favorite TV show, Cousins ​​said, “I’ve been watching Home and Away for a long time.” When I was locked up I didn’t miss a single episode.”

He is also the star recruit of this year’s series of Dancing With The Stars.

And reflecting on how life is currently going, Cousins ​​couldn’t be happier.

“As hard as it is to read the news, it’s a lot easier than being in the news,” he joked.

‘[I’m doing] really good. He wishes it hadn’t taken so long and had to run its course like he did, but it’s nice to be working and busy, have real ambition and be connected to friends, family and even a community. level.

“To be honest, life has never been better.”

He admitted, however, that training for the dance competition has not been easy.

“It’s been very difficult, this is something unlike anything I’ve ever done before,” he said.

‘It was difficult to learn and it was also difficult in terms of the hours needed to do the programme.

‘That being said, I have missed the life of a professional athlete. I didn’t move like one, but I lived the lifestyle like one.’

Cousins ​​also revealed that his favorite movie is one flew over the cuckoo’s nest and that Geelong legend Cameron Ling is the toughest opponent he has ever faced.
