BBC Breakfast fans have been left furious after the morning show was axed and downgraded to a smaller channel on Monday.
The change in schedule left those who tuned in early angrily saying, “I’m going back to bed!” when they discovered the show was gone.
The regular schedule of the morning show will change slightly this week to accommodate coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

On Monday morning the show started at its usual 6am time but moved to BBC Two at 8am for an hour.

The change to the Saturday breakfast show has left fans furious about the unexpected change as the show has been interrupted to cover the Olympics.
Furious fans shared their frustration on X and some threatened to boycott the show altogether.
Some comments read: ‘Olympics, I turned it off and went to bed #bbcbreakfast’,
‘@BBCNews you’ve shortened the #bbcbreakfast! Can’t the Olympics wait until 9? Or put them on News24?’
‘#bbcbreakfast I could do my big shopping at 8am… #Olympics’.
The hit breakfast show is not the only channel affected by the Olympics, as two other major programmes have also been affected.

All will not be lost as fan-favourite shows will be moving to BBC Two over the next week.
This follows the latest chaos in TV scheduling, which saw The One Show disappear from screens earlier this month.
The popular show will be off the air for several weeks and will return on August 12.
Hosts Alex Jones, Roman Kemp, Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating will take a short “summer break” while the Olympics get underway.
Hosts Alex and Roman kicked off their final show last week with Katy Perry on hand to chat about her new music.
At the end of the episode, Roman told viewers: “Thank you so much Katy Perry. Enjoy the Olympics, see you on August 12th!”
