Australian influencer Bonnie Stacey has shared devastating health news with her followers.
The Perth-based landscape designer and mother of two young children, who delights her 37,000 Instagram followers with Your creative gardening solutionshas revealed that she is battling skin cancer at the age of just 30.
“Hey friends, this is a tough post to write because the past few weeks have been the most challenging for our family,” she began her lengthy caption alongside a photo posted on the social platform last week.
“Unfortunately, after some recent tests, I have just been diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma and will be undergoing treatment and surgery immediately,” she continued.
‘For those of you who are not familiar with my melanoma story, I had early-stage melanoma 10 years ago when I was 20.
‘Doctors believe this is the source of the melanoma that has now been detected in my lymph nodes (which is very unusual considering it’s been 10 years).
‘This was detected after I sought a third opinion on a lump that appeared in my armpit in November.
‘An important reminder to always seek a second, third or fourth opinion if you feel something is not right.’

She continued: ‘As you can imagine, as a 30-year-old mother of two young children, the news has been quite devastating for our family and my main focus right now is getting better for my babies.

Bonnie said she will “share more about my story (when it’s ready) because I think it’s an important message to spread.”
