A man has been rushed to hospital after being allegedly stabbed at a major shopping centre on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Emergency services were called to the Australia Fair shopping centre on Marine Parade in Southport at around 12.20pm on Friday.
A man in his 40s was treated by paramedics for a chest wound.
He was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The incident reportedly occurred in a public toilet near the downtown Woolworths supermarket, 9News reported.
The location is across the road from the Gold Coast Show, which has attracted thousands of people to Broadwater Parklands amid temperatures of 31°C.
