Australians have been unleashed after an angry note was left on the windscreen of a car owned by an 83-year-old disabled woman.
The disgruntled driver left the note in the vehicle parked at Balmoral Beach, near Mosman, on Sydney’s leafy north shore on Friday afternoon.
The author apparently did not notice the elderly woman’s parking permit and wrote the note, which contained several spelling errors, to express his frustration.
“Please park properly, you know we all want to park, luckily you didn’t slash your tires,” the handwritten note said.
The woman’s son shared a photo of the “disgusting” note on a local Facebook group.
“My mother, who is disabled, parked her car on Balmoral Beach this afternoon, only to find this horrible letter on her windshield,” he wrote.
‘Even with the disabled sticker visible. Also, learn to spell next time.
Dozens of Australians criticized the note and its author in the comments.
The angry person appeared to have taken offense to the elderly woman’s parking and wrote the note (pictured) containing several misspellings to express her frustration.
“Disgusting on so many levels,” one person wrote.
“This note is horrible,” another person wrote.
“I hope that person knows how to park better than he knows how to spell,” added a third.
“Sounds more like a parking problem than a spelling problem,” a fourth agreed.
Some were baffled by the spelling errors in the note.
“My IQ actually went down while reading that note,” one person joked.
“I’m not sure what offends me more… the message of the note or the terrible spelling,” said another.
A better education could lead to some class. One, learn to spell and two, leaving this message to anyone in your car is unnecessary. Try to smile, it’s free,” said a third.
The disgruntled local left the note in the vehicle parked at Balmoral Beach (pictured), near Mosman, on Sydney’s leafy north shore on Friday afternoon.
There are accessible parking spaces near Balmoral Beach in Balmoral South End and at Clifton Gardens Reserve. There are also a total of four disabled parking spaces on The Spit East Side and West Side.
Parking at the popular beach can be expensive, and drivers must pay a $10 per hour fee for street parking during peak season, between October and April.
