Nineties pop star Daniel Powter looked a long way from his peak when he shared an unrecognizable photo on Instagram.
The singer, 53, who battled drug and alcohol addiction for five years shortly after his single hit the charts in 2005, is best known for his hit Bad Day.
Almost 20 years after Daniel released the legendary anthem, Daniel seemed a world apart from his chart days.
The Canadian singer is still enjoying his single on social media, which reached number two in the UK charts, traveling around the world singing the hit.
Aside from his career, Daniel is also a loving father to his three children, two daughters and one son.
The hitmaker has been very open about leaving his addiction to cocaine and alcohol in the past.

The song from their 2005 self-titled debut album was the most streamed song in Europe that year, was adopted for a Coca-Cola advertising campaign and became the best-selling digital single of all time in the United States.
In 2008, Daniel explained that the song was “so big that it almost eclipsed me as an artist.”
After the success of Bad Day, Daniel took a two-year break to go to rehab and recharge his burned-out batteries.
He told DailyMail at the time that he had been “completely influenced by drug and alcohol use”.
Daniel also said he thought taking drugs would live up to the “pop star image” at the peak of his fame.
He added: “I thought maybe I should sleep with hundreds of women and do drugs on the road to live up to the pop star image, when really I’m just a normal guy.”
“But I lost touch with reality and the trigger for going to rehab was that I was so paranoid and underweight that I was in danger of dying.”
During his addiction, Daniel went through a messy divorce after turning to cocaine, he said. Metro in 2016.

“I became a slave and ended up managing my life around it,” he told the publication.
Daniel admitted his addictions had a “huge” effect on him and his career.
He said: “It wasn’t a problem for the first year and a half, but as the years went by it got worse until I got to a point where I couldn’t remember what was happening.” It was a bad place and I decided to change my life.
‘Being sober is a big step. It’s difficult. You develop relationships based on you being screwed and those people aren’t the best people to be around when you’re sober.
‘It’s hard because you have to change yourself and your relationships and get the bad people out of your life. It takes a long time. “Now I can play music again and be happy.”
After overcoming her past demons, the legendary star continues to promote her hit song around the world and even appeared on Canadian’s Got Talent in October.
