Ashanti and Nelly secretly tied the knot almost six months ago, according to a new report.
Citing public records, TMZ reports that the couple married on December 27, 2023.
It is unknown where exactly the couple got married, however, the union was made official in St. Louis County. Nelly, 49, is a native of St. Louis, Missouri.

The couple are expecting their first child together; In April, Ashanti confirmed her pregnancy and revealed her engagement.

The singer reflected on the event and explained the casual way the rapper asked the question.
“It was such a beautiful, intimate moment,” Ashanti said. Entertainment tonight. “We were not elegant.”
The singer said they were watching TV in bed, in their pajamas, which contributed to her being “completely” in shock.
‘I cried. I gave him the biggest hug and kiss of my life,” Ashanti recalled. “I FaceTimed everyone I know…I felt so happy, shocked, surprised and happy all at the same time.”
When it comes to her impending nuptials, the goofy artist confirmed that she will give birth before walking down the aisle.
As for what fans can expect from Ashanti’s big day? She told the outlet that the beach, palm trees and lots of sun are essential elements.
Ashanti also took a moment to reflect on how far she and the rapper have come since they first dated earlier in the aughts.
“I never in a million years thought we’d be here,” he gushed. “Ten years ago, maybe so, but after our breakup, you know, I didn’t even think we’d have a conversation again.”
The couple dated from 2003 to 2013 before going their separate ways.

Then in 2021, Nelly and Ashanti met in Fat Joe and Ja Rule’s Verzuz battle.
The 49-year-old asked Ashanti’s number from DJ City, prompting the pair to rekindle their romance.
“I guess when you go through a breakup, for me personally, I just exclude that person…” Ashanti continued. “It’s like, okay, that chapter is closed and you just move on, you know, and there’s nothing there.”
And when they reconnected, the star dug deeper to see if he was the one.
‘I cried. I gave him the biggest hug and kiss of all time,’ the singer recalled. “I FaceTimed everyone I know… I felt so happy, shocked, surprised and happy all in one.”
‘I had to be really honest with myself, like, do I have feelings for him again? What’s going on? She explained.
—Because they were out, you know what I mean. They were gone. He was pleasantly surprised that they were there.’
In fact, things are even better than a decade ago.
“The growth has been magnificent, you know, on both ends,” Ashanti told ET.
“We are both in a place where, like before, we would sometimes argue and go out, close the door and not talk for a few days.”
The 43-year-old confirmed she will give birth before walking down the aisle.
But the duo knows how to handle things more communicatively these days.
‘Now it’s like, “Okay, are you okay?” You know, kiss me goodbye and it’s over,’ the actress said.
‘It’s not like holding on and arguing and we find out what the resolution is. We apologize… It used to take me a little longer to apologize.’
With her little one on the way, Ashanti feels like she and Nelly are completely on the same page.
“I think we are both very passionate about working and raising a family,” he said. “We are very, very aligned.”

Along with an adorable proposal, another milestone was when Ashanti found out she was going to be a first-time mother.
After missing her period, the Winter Song star began to suspect she might be pregnant and decided to FaceTime Nelly, who is also father to Shawn, Chanelle, Sydney and Cornell, to tell her the news.
“I couldn’t wait, I had to get it out,” Ashanti said. Entertainment tonight. “And he said, ‘Oh, he knew that.'”
“He was very happy and we were both smiling and it was a lot of fun,” she continued. ‘He Actually he was at his mother’s house. He was in the studio. It was a really cool moment. “It was a little bit of everything.”
On Mother’s Day, Ashanti shared a look at her growing baby bump and posted an adorable series of photos of your celebration.
“This Mother’s Day was so special…” she wrote alongside a photo of the smiling couple. ‘Having our families together as we are about to embark on such an incredible journey was incredible. !!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! !!!!!!
‘Yes, yes, I know I’m late…’ Ashanti joked. ‘There was so much food that I got distracted. Ps… I only ate 1 dish though.’
