Ready to mingle: Kim Kardashian is ready to start dating again, eight months after her split from Pete Davidson and her divorce from longtime husband Kanye West
‘I am. I (like a romantic). I have this fantasy in my head, like fourth time is magic, and it will — it will work. “I feel like, honestly, my last marriage was my first real marriage—the first, I don’t know what was going on,” she said on The Goop Podcast in December.
She continued, “The second, I felt like I wanted to get married so badly because all my friends were in that place and that’s where I should have been, and I didn’t accept that this wasn’t where I was seeing that that was okay.”
And now, I feel like I’m definitely going to take my time — and I’d be fine for a forever partnership, too. I’d like to get married, but I’m so happy I’m taking my time.
Kim filed for divorce from West, who is the father of her four children North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, five, and three-year-old Psalm, in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage.
It took over a year — and countless fiery Instagram comments from Kanye that aired the custody battle and behind-the-scenes drama — for the couple to settle the split.
TMZ It was revealed that Kim will receive $200,000 a month in child support. It was also agreed that Kim and Kanye would have joint custody and “equal access” of their children.
Although the couple has come to terms, Kim previously admitted that co-parenting with the Gold Digger hitmaker was “really tough.”
She was brought to tears after making admissions while appearing on Angie Martinez IRL podcast this week.

Kim explained that she tried to protect her children from “all the craziness” that comes with Kanye’s public outbursts, but insisted if they asked her about her in the future she would be “prepared” to answer.
“I had the best dad,” Kim cried, talking about her childhood with her late father, Robert Kardashian. I don’t want to get emotional. It was just a day for me. Difficult. S*** like co-parenting, it’s really hard you know.
Angie, 51, said Kim wasn’t co-parenting with the much calmer and easier-going ex.
Kim replied, “Yeah, but I had the best dad, the best memories, the greatest experience and that’s all I want for my kids.” As long as they can have that, that’s what I want for them, you know.

So like if they don’t know the things that are being said or what’s going on in the world, like why am I bringing this energy to them. You know, that’s like a real heavy, adult heavy f***. They just aren’t ready to deal with it.
“And when they are, we’ll have those conversations and I’ll be very prepared but until then I’ll do anything to keep their life as normal as possible.”
Kim said she would be prepared when her kids asked about Kanye’s public outbursts but is staying mum for now.
“One day my kids will thank me for sitting here and not hitting their daddy when I could,” she said, telling host Angie Martinez.
‘All crazy***. They will thank me and I will privately answer anything they want to know. It is no longer my place to jump into.

I certainly protected him and still am in my children’s eyes for the sake of my children. In my house, my kids don’t know anything that’s going on in the outside world…
I’m holding on by a thread. I know I’m very close to not having that happen. While this still happens, I will protect that to the ends of the earth for as long as I can.
Kim talked about how she shields her four children from drama – public and private – between A-list parents.
“I definitely protected him and still will,” she explained. In the eyes of my children – to my children.
“So in my house my kids don’t have anything that happens in the outside world and I’ve been able to — I’m hanging on by thread and I know I’m very close to not happening, but while I’m still that way, I’ll protect that to the end of the earth as long as I can.”

It’s not easy: Although the couple came to terms, Kim previously admitted that co-parenting with the Gold Digger hitmaker was ‘really tough’
Kim said she did everything she could to keep her kids away from the drama and even called her “best friends” the teachers at their school who keep her informed of what the kids are talking about.
She revealed: ‘None of the (other) kids said anything to my kids, when things go down I protect things as much as the TVs and the content out there. It’s a (full time job).
She got blunt as she admitted: “(It’s) worth it because of course I want to separate the specific ideas and things that are said because that’s not me, but at the same time in my house I could pass by something but if we’re going to school and they want to listen to music Their dad, no matter what happens in the world, I have to put that smile on my face and blast his music and his vocals and act like nothing’s wrong.
“Once I drop them, I can cry well.”
