Arsenal have been handed a boost after learning summer signing Kieran Tierney will soon resume full training.

Arsenal will welcome the youngster into senior training, along with the returning Hector Bellerin, following Sunday’s north London derby with bitter rivals Tottenham.

The news is poised to enable manager Unai Emery to sanction Nacho Monreal’s departure from the club before the European transfer window closes.

Monreal has been offered a return to La Liga with Real Sociedad for around £3m, and the Gunners will take the chance to recoup some cash after navigating the summer transfer window on a vastly reduced budget.

Likewise, Bellerin will soon be making his return following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The Spaniard hasn’t played since the victory over Chelsea in January but will resume first team full training in September.
