Mikel Arteta has given an update on Bukayo Saka’s condition after he limped off Arsenal’s goalless draw against Manchester City on Sunday.
The winger limped off late at the Etihad Stadium after struggling for long periods to get into the game.
It was his first match since withdrawing from the England squad that faced Brazil and Belgium last week, and raised further concerns about his fitness ahead of the title race.
Arteta revealed that Saka is not a major concern for Arsenal’s home clash against Luton on Wednesday night, but refused to confirm whether he will be ready to start.
‘He’s fine. We have not trained, only recovery,’ he stated in his pre-match press conference.
‘We have a short light session to prepare for the match. “We will see if he is in the best condition to start the game or not.”
