Apple users are furious after a new hack emerged to prove that iPhone camera quality hasn’t changed since 2021.
An influential tech user shared two videos, one in a park and one in a city, with four generations of iPhones lined up to simultaneously capture the same shot, from the iPhone 13 Pro to the iPhone 16 Pro.
Viewers criticized the fact that the quality difference seemed to be minuscule, despite the $600 difference between the newer model and the 13 Pro.

Reviewers complained that there didn’t seem to be any difference in camera quality since the 13 Pro was launched in 2021.
This is despite Apple’s marketing around its Pro models focusing heavily on camera quality.
In TikTok videos, @yuta.tj23 lined up phones on tripods to scan buildings in what appears to be a city center.
Some people noticed the differences, but agreed that some said the older models actually looked better.
One person commented: ‘Why does the 13 Pro handle light sources like the building sign better?’
Another person pointed out the same difference, in favor of the older model, writing: “The 13pro looks much better specifically with the white light reflecting off that yellow sign.”
However, most viewers asked what the difference was in video quality, while one questioned whether Apple should consider running this same test.

Viewers responded and collectively agreed that they all look the same, while one person… They broke down their review of the camera quality and said: ‘13 pro looks amazing to this day. The 14 pro looks a little better.

For years, Apple has boasted about its premium iPhone devices and claimed that its cameras are getting better over time.
Pro phones cost $400 to $700 more than their standard counterparts, and an iPhone 16 Pro costs more than $1,600 for a terabyte of storage.
