Speaking to Good Morning Britain on Friday – where she also discussed her new song with Niall Horan – the star said hearing from other people about their difficulties helped her.

She said, ‘Sometimes weird for people to hear that I have anxiety because some people say’ how are you going to get onstage ‘and I say’ I don’t know ‘because I hate people looking at me.
She added: ‘It’s a bit of a weird career going into for someone like me.’
She explained how she handles it, saying, “ When you say to people, just talk about how you feel, that helped me figure out my brain, by hearing other people talk about what they are going through.

‘I actually had no idea about my brain. I can say about three years ago that I still didn’t understand anything about mental health.
‘Only when I saw people talking about it online and on TV. I feel so strong about that and I want to be so open to everyone.
“I want everyone to know that you seem happy and you have everything, but you can still have things going on here that people can’t see. I want to talk about it all the time. ‘

Anne-Marie also discussed their partnership last November, explaining how the pair decided to team up after forming a bond with their shared love of golf, then recording three songs together.
She said, ‘It was actually great. The communication started to happen after I mispronounced his middle name on the radio, and then we started chatting and I love golf and he said, “We should go golf!”
“We were planning on hanging out, but we never did, but then this opportunity came for a session and I thought, ‘Finally we’ll be in the same room.’
“It was a very creative process and we wrote three songs, so we have a few to choose from.”
