Dannielynn, Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter continued his tradition of attending the Kentucky Derby with his father Larry Birkhead on Saturday.
For the special occasion, the 17-year-old high school graduate, who grew up outside the Hollywood spotlight, wore a beautiful red Badgley Mischka dress and debuted a new, shorter haircut.
“On my way to @kentuckyderby with Dannielynn after a great night at the Barnstable-Brown Gala and a quick morning haircut or two,” Larry captioned a slideshow of photos of his teen.
“Dannielynn’s dress was inspired by her favorite character Hino Eiji, Kamen Rider OOO TaJaDor combo – she made me write that – because that character had the same shoulders as the dress design she found!” she continued.
Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter, Dannielynn, is 17 years old and graduated from high school. On Saturday, she continued the tradition of attending the Kentucky Derby with her father Larry Birkhead, 50, who shared photos from the 150th running of the Derby on Instagram.
“On my way to @kentuckyderby with Dannielynn after a great night at the Barnstable-Brown Gala and a quick haircut or two in the morning,” she wrote, referencing her beloved teen’s new shorter haircut.
“Hey, whatever works, I’m just trying to spend some quality time as this weekend of traditions comes to an end…” the father concluded beaming.
Dannielynn looked beautiful in a red dress with ruffled sleeves and a red headpiece.
She was the spitting image of her late mother as she held in her hand an action figure of the character her appearance was based on in one of the photos.
Photographer Larry looked dapper in a gray suit with a white shirt and purple patterned tie.
The comments were full of praise for Larry, who raised Dannielynn alone after Anna Nicole’s death in 2007, when his daughter was one.
‘She is very beautiful. You’ve done a great job raising her! I followed the whole saga with her and she is very lucky to have you!’ wrote one fan.
Another commented: ‘I love that she is always dressed appropriately for her age. She is so beautiful! ‘
I love that this is your annual tradition!!! She will always have these memories with you!! She’s still the best #girldad,” someone else wrote.
Even her makeup artist wrote a comment: ‘Thank you for inviting me to do Dannielynn’s makeup again this year. And as always for being great friends.’
