The ex-girlfriend of former world heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz has reportedly obtained a permanent restraining order against him after allegations of sexual assault by the 34-year-old.
The order was granted earlier this month to Julia Lemus, who had been seeking a protective order since last April.
Lemus alleges that Ruiz sexually assaulted, abused and terrorized her throughout their relationship. according to TMZ.
Ruiz’s ex-wife also alleges that he pointed an AK-47 at her face last year after she said she was uncomfortable with his recent gun purchase.
Lemus and Ruiz began dating in 2016, with the order stating that the boxer would often grab and pull Lemus to take her wherever he wanted her to go. Lemus also claimed that Ruiz ‘jokingly’ hit his arms and legs, leaving bruises, according to TMZ.

Lemus also claims that Ruiz began sexually assaulting her last year, forcing himself on her at least six times.
Lemus was granted a temporary restraining order after the initial allegations. Ruiz vehemently denied the claims, forcing a court battle between the parties to determine whether a permanent restraining order needed to be implemented.
Both Ruiz and Lemus testified before a judge, as did witnesses, and the judge ruled in favor of Lemus on April 8.
There is a 3-year restraining order and Lemus can renew the request before the agreement expires on April 8, 2027.
The judge who made the ruling, Sharon L. Kalemkiarian, stated in court documents that she determined that the evidence showed that Lemus “is afraid as a result of Mr. Ruiz’s aggressive, degrading and controlling behavior,” according to TMZ.
Ruiz now has a restraining order placed against him by Lemus that is in effect until 2027.
‘Mister. “Ruiz did assault her,” Kalemkiarian added, “disturbing her peace and exercising coercive control throughout the relationship.”
The protective order covers a few parameters, including the requirement that Ruiz must stay 100 yards from Lemus, his home, his work and his vehicle, according to TMZ.
Ruiz was also not required to have weapons and was ordered to take a 12-week anger management course.
Ruiz has not publicly responded to the report, with his last social media post being a video with his new partner, Mayeli Alonso, announcing her pregnancy in March.
Kalemkiarian also gave Lemus sole custody of the couple’s two children, and Ruiz was allowed to have supervised visits with them.
