Olivia 'Livvy' Dunne has become a global superstar after joining TikTok in 2020 to share videos of herself practicing gymnastics.

American gymnast Olivia Dunne risked being banned from Instagram after appearing to accidentally expose herself on the social media site.

The 21-year-old Louisiana State University acrobat posted a selfie to her Story with the caption “I miss you New York” with a smiling and crying emoji, and what appears to be her nipple poking out of her blouse.

Dunne, also known as Livvy, sailed close to the wind with the revealing snap accidentally shared with her five million followers because Meta-owned Instagram has a strict policy on nudity.

The post, first reported by a German news website, has disappeared; Dunne’s story is now filled with videos and photographs of an LSU rally at the Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

And although the post has been removed, the site could still take action – and it could mean financial trouble for her, as the platform is her biggest source of income, raking in six-figure sums from sponsored posts.

Dunne, born in New Jersey, had been in New York on a stopover while returning home to Louisiana after a track meet in Florida.

Last month, she posted photos of herself on Instagram in front of a giant billboard of her in the city’s Times Square, joking: “I think I know that girl from somewhere.”

But her accidental nipple flash is less of a laughing matter since Instagram has a famously low tolerance for topless female nudity.

“This action may have unpleasant consequences,” the tabloid warned.

Instagram, which has a minimum age of 13, does not allow nudity in any form, including nudity that is “artistic or creative in nature.”

Activists have called on the platform to relax its policy on female nipples, using the hashtag #freethenipple, to no avail.

However, the site makes exceptions for photographs of breastfeeding, childbirth, “acts of protest,” and nudity depicted in paintings and sculptures.

This policy, particularly the stance on breastfeeding, has recently been ignored by shameless Onlyfans models who post topless videos of themselves pretending to breastfeed dolls to entice new subscribers to sign up to their paid feeds.

Dunne previously shared how much he can get paid for sponsored posts on Instagram, revealing that his biggest payday was over half a million dollars.

She told the Full Send podcast last July: ‘I normally never talk about money, but… I would say, six figures. It’s just crazy to me.’

Former US national gymnast Dunne began gaining an online following after joining TikTok in 2020 to share videos of her gymnastics practice.

His net worth is now estimated to be $3.3 million thanks to his NIL (name, image and likeness) deals with brands like Nautica and American Eagle.

And he became an internet meme when he met 10-year-old football player and social media star Madden San Miguel, better known as Baby Gronk.

Content creator Henry De Tolla, known as h00pify online, shared a video of Dunne meeting the promising young player, proclaiming that “Livvy got him fired up” to convince him to commit to LSU for college.

‘Rizz’ – meaning to charm someone, from ‘charisma’ – was later named word of the year by Oxford University Press. Dunne herself acknowledged the news and shared an article about it on her Instagram.
