Amanda Abbington has reportedly handed over more texts containing new revelations about Giovanni Pernice’s behaviour on Strictly Come Dancing.

It has been claimed that the dramatic intervention has thrown the BBC’s investigation into Giovanni’s professional behaviour into chaos and “changed the course of the investigation”.

The sun Amanda is reported to have come forward with explosive new messages just as the investigation was about to conclude, which apparently show Giovanni “crossed the line of what was acceptable”.

Sherlock actress Amanda, 50, has made a series of accusations about Giovanni’s teaching methods and has She described his behaviour as “unnecessary, abusive, cruel and mean-spirited.” She strongly denies all the accusations.

In an interview, Amanda compared the dance show to “the trenches” and told Channel 4 News that BBC producers had been left “horrified” by the clips which allegedly also showed “humiliating behaviour of a sexual nature”.

It has been claimed that the dramatic intervention has thrown the BBC’s investigation into Giovanni’s behaviour into chaos and “changed the course of the investigation”.

A source told the publication of the new revelations: ‘The investigation is due to conclude this week but has been made more difficult by Amanda’s new revelation.

‘The course of the investigation has changed. Giovanni seemed to be cleared of suspicion, but this new information has changed everything again.

‘Giovanni appears to have overstepped the boundaries of what is acceptable for a BBC representative, but further discussion is needed.

“Every time they seem to reach a conclusion, something else is added that takes the investigation in a new direction.”

MailOnline has contacted the BBC for comment.

This comes after Amanda was reportedly questioned for a second time by BBC bosses earlier this week over “rude comments” she claims Giovanni made.

She is said to have been questioned via video call last week as she sat down with two former Met detectives to discuss her allegations about the professional dancer, 33.

They reportedly discussed allegations of sexual comments during rehearsals, as well as “new evidence.” Giovanni has denied all the accusations made against him.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Amanda, Giovanni and the BBC for comment.

In an interview, Amanda compared the dance show to “the trenches” and told Channel 4 News that BBC producers had been left “horrified” by the clips which allegedly also showed “humiliating behaviour of a sexual nature”.

In another, where he spoke to Christine Lampard about Lorraine, he said: ‘It was inappropriate, it was cruel, it was nasty, it was bullying and I put up with it for five, six weeks.

‘It all started very early and when it started happening, I shut down because I recognized those warning signs.

“And then it would close and it would be hard to get in, and that would be a self-fulfilling prophecy.”

Speaking about her schedule on the show, she said: ‘I went into the rehearsal room every day. I’ve been in rehearsal rooms for 32 years.

‘I know what rehearsal rooms must be like.

‘I don’t care what background you’re from, whether it’s dancing, acting or singing, you have a duty to bring compassion, understanding, sensitivity and kindness to that rehearsal room.

“And that hasn’t been extended to me (Strictly). So I just said I don’t think this is right.”

The update came just after police visited Amanda’s home, as an investigation continues into a chilling death threat sent to the actress.

Met detectives were alerted on Friday afternoon to a threatening email sent to the north London theatre where Amanda performs.

The actress stars in the new play When It Happens To You at the Park Theatre in Finsbury.

The terrifying email warned her she “should be prepared to die on stage” unless she dropped her complaint about her former Strictly partner Giovanni.

Park Theatre quickly alerted the force, which is taking the threat “very seriously” and is working to “unmask” the person who sent it.

The Sherlock actress has been interviewed by officers twice and the home she shares with her fiancé Jonathan Goodwin was visited by police.

While the Metropolitan Police have not formally identified anyone involved in the investigation, a spokesperson confirmed that officers were called to a theatre in Finsbury Park “following receipt of a suspected malicious communication”.

The spokesman continued: “There have been no arrests, investigations are ongoing.”

Amanda abruptly left the BBC show alleging

Amanda abruptly quit the BBC show citing “personal issues” and quit social media last month in the wake of her former dance partner’s sacking.

A source close to the investigation told MailOnline: ‘Specialist officers have been analysing the email closely over the past 72 hours and now believe they are close to identifying where it was sent from.

‘They are in contact with another force to resolve this problem. They hope this will lead them to the person behind the threat.

Officers have told Amanda they will do everything they can to find out who the person behind the email is.

“They are treating this as a very serious and very credible threat and they want to expose the person behind this.”
