The Cobham Aviation aircraft collided with the structure while the aircraft was preparing to take off at approximately 2.20 p.m. on Tuesday.

"Perth Airport can confirm that a Cobham aircraft has an impact with a light tower while taxiing around 2.20 pm in the general aviation area," said Perth Airport.
