Rowdy at the races! Revelers in Aintree feast on champagne and kick off their heels as they dance the night away on the first day of the Grand National Festival
Aintree revelers made their way into the evening after attending the first day of the Grand National today.
It all started very well for the well-dressed race-goers — but as the champagne flowed, the hours of drinking began to take their toll on some of the ladies as they strayed off the track to take slick selfies and kick their heels.
Some were photographed enjoying their drinks, perched on each other’s shoulders or even sprawled on the ground at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.
Earlier in the day, glamorous racegoers pulled out of all their costume stops as they arrived at the festival, one of the most anticipated events on the racing calendar.
About 150,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event, making it one of the largest of its kind in the world over the next few days.
Arriving with everything they had, the attendees struggled against the frigid temperatures and high winds from Noah.
A sea of color poured onto the racetrack as guests arrived in bright pinks and greens ahead of the first day of the event.
No doubt one attendee turned heads strutting in a hot pink power suit, while another stunned in a green satin skirt with a matching trench coat to protect herself from the chilly temperatures.
Last year’s event, which was the first ‘back to normal’ festival since the pandemic, saw revelers make up for lost time as they celebrated the festival and celebrated away.
And it seems this year will be no different as revelers were photographed heading to the bar and popping their bubble shortly after their arrival.

Cheers! One of the women, who was dressed in an elegant satin dress, appeared to drink straight from the bottle as the camera pointed at her.

Excuse me! A young reveler seemed to stumble while holding a glass of champagne and trying to hold on to her hat at the same time.

Last year, Price’s 50-1 Noble Yeats pulled off a stunning win at the Grand National, edging out favorites Any Second Now and Delta Work.
While Aintree may not have the royal touch that Ascot does, it definitely has its own stakes in the fashion world when it comes to body-lighting.
In addition to killer heels, thigh-cut dresses, and plunging necklines, the event is known for its display of colorful headdresses.
This year’s Grand National Festival will conclude on Saturday, with the final race taking place at 6.20pm.
