Daily Mail Australia can exclusively reveal that Tina Arena will be showcasing her vocal talents at Saturday’s sporting spectacular at the MCG.

The Australian megastar, 56, has been booked as a special guest and is said to have been quietly planning her setlist over the past week.

Organisers hope it will create another memorable TV moment after Delta Goodrum performed with Robbie Williams in an iconic show at last year’s final.

It is not known whether Tina, who sings in English, Italian, French and Spanish, will take the stage for pre-match, half-time or post-match entertainment.

Tina, known for her hit single Burn and her cover of Don’t Cry for Me Argentina, has been brought in after plans for Kylie Minogue to perform reportedly fell through.

It is expected to be a star-studded event, with Cody Simpson singing the national anthem, while Firework singer Katy, 39, is thought to headline the pre-game performance.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Katy’s set list to include her biggest hits, such as Dark Horse, Hot ‘n’ Cold, Roar and Teenage Dream.

The American pop star and the AFL have reportedly clashed over her setlist, with Katy’s team reportedly refusing a request that she refrain from playing new songs.

Appearing in SEN breakfast On Monday, veteran AFL journalist Tom Morris claimed that a deal had been reached with Katy and that they had agreed to only have one new track.

“She’s going to play about five songs and the AFL was very interested in her playing five classic tunes, she wanted to play two new ones,” he said.

‘They eventually met halfway and she played one new song and four classics.’

Co-host and AFL broadcaster Kane Cornes revealed he is a Katy Perry fan and added the AFL should have a say in planning the stadium extravaganza.

“The AFL says, ‘We only want your hits. We only want your hits. We only want your best stuff,'” he said.

“We want Roar, we want Teenage Dream, we want Firework. They want all the songs that we know and love. And she balked and said, ‘No, no, I want to play two of my new songs.'”

‘You know, when you go to a concert and maybe they’re old and all you want is the good stuff, their greatest hits.

“That’s what the AFL has asked Katy Perry to do. And she’s said, ‘Of course, I want to promote some of my new music.'”

This comes after it was claimed Katy and the AFL had fallen out over her setlist, with her team said to have objected to a request that she refrain from playing new songs.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the AFL for comment.

Katy released her latest album 143 last week, which contains the controversial first single Woman’s World and the follow-up Lifetimes.

Woman’s World, considered an empowering feminist anthem, was dismissed as unoriginal, hypocritical and formulaic.

Katy also faced criticism for the music video, as well as her decision to work with music producer Dr. Luke, 50, following her highly publicized legal battle with Tick Tock singer Kesha, 37.

News that Katy would be travelling to Australia for the September clash was met with a chorus of disapproval from fans, with many questioning why the AFL needed to import overseas talent.
