ABC Deputy Chair Peter Tonagh resigns from national broadcaster

ABC deputy chairman Peter Tonagh has resigned from the national broadcaster in a shocking Christmas announcement.

Tonagh’s departure was detailed in a statement on the broadcaster’s website in the run-up to Christmas.

ABC chairman Kim Williams said Tonagh had submitted his resignation from the ABC board to the governor-general and would step down from his duties as vice-chairman of the board.
