A major shopping mall across from the Pentagon is closed with ‘a senior government official inside’

Police are responding to a burglary at an upmarket shopping mall across from the Pentagon.

Arlington County police said three suspects entered a business at the Fashion Center at Pentagon City and smashed a glass display case with hammers and used a fire extinguisher.

The suspects then fled on foot.

Photos posted on social media show a large police presence outside the building.
