A lifestyle coach has revealed how to “drink water properly” to lose weight in a way that doesn’t make you constantly run to the bathroom.

Karla, known as @mejorandowkarlaShe has over 100,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares tips on creating habits and losing weight.

The content creator recently went viral after sharing how to “get the most bang for your buck in your weight loss journey” by drinking water.

‘If you don’t know how to start your weight loss process, I will teach you a habit. Sixty-four ounces of water every day,” she began.

Karla shared images of herself pouring filtered water into her stainless steel bottle and said she drinks 64 ounces a day.

“To me, it just means I need two of these,” he said, tapping his fingers on his stainless steel water bottle.

“Actually, we’re going to be intentional in our weight loss process, and we want to be intentional with what we put into our body,” she said.

Karla poured filtered water from a jug into the bottle and added a “pinch of salt.”

“But only a little bit,” he warned. ‘This shouldn’t be salty at all. This will actually add all the electrolytes back to the water. These are essential elements for our livelihood and to make you more beautiful.’

He added that if you want it to be more “elegant,” you can add slices of lemon or lime.

“This is just one of the ways I present myself,” he explained. ‘Since I started my journey towards healthy habits, my life has changed for the better.

Karla is just one of many TikTok influencers promoting the Benefits of adding salt to water, which It can replenish electrolytes and increase hydration.

However, experts say that most people consume enough sodium throughout the day and do not need to drink salt water unless they are engaged in vigorous physical activity.

‘As a dietician, I would only recommend drinking salt water after you have exercised in extreme heat and lost a lot of sweat. I would also avoid drinking it more than once a day,” said Frances Largeman-Roth, RDN. Today.com.
