This is the heartbreaking moment an influencer and her husband were swept away by floods, minutes after she made one last disturbing post on social media.

Jeniffer Soares Martins, who had 81,000 followers on Instagram, was seen clinging to a car with her husband Wallion Lima as water rushed past them after heavy rain hit Uberlândia, south of Brasilia, Brazil, in the early hours on November 24.

That night, 55 mm of rain fell in just 30 minutes, causing severe flooding in the city of more than 700,000 inhabitants.

A video recorded in the city around 1 a.m. showed the 28-year-old influencer clinging to a silver car while water was up to her waist. The woman taking the video can be heard shouting at the couple as the water rises.

Separate CCTV footage showed people inside a nearby house trying to save the couple by pushing a tall ladder.

But it extended only a few meters in front of the couple, which meant they couldn’t reach it without risking being swept away.

Anyway, the tragic couple was eventually carried away by the flood. A third clip showed the area where the couple was empty, with the water significantly higher than in previous images.

Moments before the flood, Martins shared videos of herself listening to music. with the caption: “I’m going to be young again.”
