A mother’s last wish was for her daughter and her friend to promise that the ‘Grim Reaper’ would attend her funeral.
Sharon Taffs, grandmother of twelve, from Maldon in Essex, died aged 68 in December last year from breast cancer.
Before his death, family friend Kenny Rossington joked that he would come to his funeral dressed as the reaper while pointing at people saying “you’re next.”
Sharon’s daughter Louise Miller, 49, from Witham, said her mother found the idea “funny” and made them promise to keep up the joke on her funeral date on March 16.
As a result, Ms. Miller said she was simply “getting her wish,” he told the bbc.
“She made us promise that we would, and he’s the kind of friend who would keep that promise no matter what.”
