Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman DeMarvion Overshown has torn his ACL, MCL and PCL and is out indefinitely, with his status for 2025 in doubt.

The recovery time for any of these serious injuries is several months, let alone getting all three at once.

Even though 2025 training camps won’t open for next season for another eight months, the timeline of Overshown’s return is unknown.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones addressed Overshown’s injury on Tuesday, mentioning another full season without him as a possibility.

“I don’t know the date of his rehab at this point, but I just can’t tell you how bad I feel for him,” Jones said. 105.3 The fan.

Overshown’s injury occurred when he attempted to make a tackle during Monday’s loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and was rolled up by several players.

A complete reconstruction of Overshown’s knee could keep him out of action for more than fourteen months in 2026. Super Bowl scheduled for February 8.

This season, Overshown had 84 tackles, five sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, a recovered fumble, eight tackles for loss and a defensive touchdown.

The defensive touchdown came against the Giants on Thanksgiving Day, picking off Drew Lock by throwing a pass and catching the deflection before running untouched into the end zone.

Overshown was drafted in the third round by the Cowboys last year and also played high school and college football at Texas.

The Cowboys are 5-8 and will likely need to run the table to have a chance at making the playoffs. Dallas is three games behind its archrival, the Washington Commanders, for the final playoff spot in the NFC.
