The No Doubt singer, 55, recently teamed up with the popular prayer and meditation app to encourage people to pray over the festive period.
‘The Christmas season has always been my favorite time of year. “It is the season in which we can celebrate the birth of our Lord,” he says in a promotional video.
‘Join me and millions of Christians around the world as we celebrate together the truth that God so loved the world that he gave us his only son.
While many fans have supported Gwen’s public embrace of her faith, others criticized the Hollaback Girl hitmaker for the religious venture.
‘The traditional wife transformation is complete,’ wrote one, while another commented: ‘What the hell is this!’
“I’m going to tell myself this is AI and move on with my life,” wrote a third.
A fourth added: ‘Gwen, I’ve loved you since I was eight, back in the days of the Tragic Kingdom. I understand that your faith is important to you, but this is really embarrassing.

Despite the backlash, many fans jumped to Gwen’s defense, noting that she has always been open about her religious beliefs.

It comes after Gwen said her relationship with country star Blake Shelton was a “miracle” following her heartbreaking split from ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
The No Doubt frontwoman got candid about how her perspective on love has changed over time in an interview with People magazine.
She also said she felt protective of her three children after her split from Gavin.

The pop star and her ex-husband dated for six years before saying “I do” in 2002. Over the course of their thirteen-year marriage, they welcomed sons Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10.
