Liam Payne’s grieving girlfriend packed the remains of his shattered life into cardboard boxes as she faced an uncertain future, just days after saying goodbye to the superstar singer for good.
Heartbroken Kate Cassidy, 25, looked close to tears after gathering her belongings as she moved out of the property where she had been living after the tragedy.
Forlorn-looking Kate was on the street surrounded by her possessions after leaving the modern high-rise apartment believed to have been owned by her late partner.
At one point, the American model and influencer was seen tightly clutching a stuffed toy, a colorful marshmallow that was too big to fit in her luggage; it seemed to be a treasured memento of the couple’s time together.
She was met by a friend who helped her load stacks of boxes and suitcases into a rented van before leaving for an unknown destination.
Neighbors said Kate would rely on the generosity of her friends to put her up as she prepares to fly back to the United States to spend Christmas with her family.
She flew to the UK the day after tragedy struck when Liam plunged to his death from the balcony of his third-floor hotel suite in Buenos Aires, Argentina, last month.
Just a few weeks ago, Kate and Liam, 31, were planning their future together.

His One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson were among the mourners.
They were united in grief as they appeared together in public for the first time since the band split in 2015.

‘None of this seems real, and I can’t understand this new reality of not having you here. I’m struggling to figure out how to live in a world without you by my side.

‘I keep your note close, even though you told me not to look at it.

‘Liam, I know we will be together forever, but not in the way we planned.
‘You will always be with me. I have gained a guardian angel.
“I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond, carrying our dreams and memories with me wherever I go.”
The couple began dating in October 2022 and made their debut on the Fashion Awards red carpet that same year.
Kate had been helping Liam get his life back on track while he planned to relaunch his career.
Last year, Liam opened up about his mental health, revealing that doctors diagnosed him with “a couple of conditions” after he hit “rock bottom” and spent some time in a wellness clinic in the US.
He was later forced to cancel a tour of South America after being hospitalized with a kidney infection.
