Samantha Armytage has given insight into how her health and life have changed as she has aged as she talks about her big career move.
The television veteran reflected on his departure from Canal Siete after 21 years at the age of 48 in a candid column for Stellardescribing the move as a “new beginning” in his life.
He has since signed up to rival network Nine and confessed the big change was “unexpected”, while detailing the many other changes in his life as he got older.
Samantha spoke candidly about the aging process, which has included her hair turning grey, getting wrinkles and sometimes having incontinence issues.
“Suddenly, everything is changing: hair color, waistline, sleeping patterns, pelvic floor, skin texture, friends, colleagues, houses, slang, clothing styles,” he wrote. .
‘With age comes experience, wisdom and feeling more comfortable with yourself. Well, gray hair, wrinkles and interrupted sleep have to count for something!

‘I’ve loved and lost, I’ve laughed and cried, and I’ve laughed until I cried, which occasionally, as a woman gets older, means a little pee comes out (see above, re: pelvic floor).’
Samantha also confessed that she has become “stronger” and more “vulnerable” with age and shared the daunting aspects of starting a new job after 21 years.
She shared her uncertainty about making the historic change while speaking about the difficulties that came with jumping to a completely new television network.
The former Farmer Wants A Wife presenter quit Seven after 21 years and fled to Nine, where she will present The Golden Bachelor Australia.
In her new role, she will also become a fill-in presenter for Today, while regular presenters Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo will be on leave over the summer.
Sam, who once hosted Seven’s rival breakfast show Sunrise, will co-host with Weekend Today star Clint Stanaway, according to The daily telegraph.
The journalist will ‘wake up with Today’ for a week and a half, drawing on her eight-year experience as a presenter on Sunrise from 2013 to 2021 on the rival bench.
Samantha recently spoke about her surprising move from Seven to Nine on the Kyle and Jackie O Show and revealed that her new employers have been “very welcoming”.

As Sam laughed at the comment, Kyle, 53, added: “Did Channel Nine invite you and you fell in love with the dinners and limos?”
The TV personality gently sidestepped the question and replied: ‘Channel Nine, you’ve been very welcoming. Very cozy indeed.
“It’s been a really nice step for me and a really good start at this age.”
‘We’re all getting older… As you get older, you look for something different. “At this point in life you want to start over,” he added.
