Dramatic video captured the moment a volcano erupted in Columbia on Monday, spewing mud and flames into the air as onlookers ran to safety.
The shocking eruption of the volcano known as Los Aburridos occurred in San Juan de Mulatos in Urabá, a subregion of the province of Antioquia.
No serious injuries were reported.
Multiple recordings show flames and smoke rising into the sky as locals fled the area surrounding the volcano.
In one video, a resident urged his family to leave as they ran inside a home.

At least three children were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated for smoke inhalation, Turbo mayor Alejandro Abuchar said in a statement.
Paramedics also treated five people who fainted due to the explosions.
The mayor’s office added that 35 children were transferred to a school set up as a shelter center in the town of Los Mangos. Sixteen families, including 30 minors, were housed in schools converted into temporary shelters in Manta Gorda and Santiago de Urabá.
The authorities evacuated 109 families from their homes, located on a road near Los Aburridos.

In a statement posted on X, the Geological Survey said Monday’s eruption caused an “emission of mud and methane gas that ignited.”
The service sent a team of experts to assess the situation on the ground.
John Londoño, supervisor of the Colombian Geological Survey, explained that mud volcano eruptions are common in the provinces of Antioquia, Atlántico, Bolívar, Córdoba and Sucre.
“These types of mud volcanoes are very different from volcanoes that produce lava and magma eruptions, which are explosive and violent and can reach a very large surface area, affecting many populations and the ecosystem in general,” said Londoño.
“These mud volcanoes have very small, very restricted eruptions.”
