In a picture posted to Instagram Stories, Cobain, 31, and Hawk, 31, smiled at each other on a couch as she presented him with a chocolate cake with floral details.

Cobain wore her auburn hair down and parted in the middle and a black dress in the social media photo, while Hawk showed off her massive tattoo with a blue cap, black snaps and plaid-print slip-on Vans sneakers.

Cobain is believed to have married Hawk, son of Tony Hawk, in a ceremony officiated by Michael Stipe last October.

The artist/model, daughter of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, 60, is believed to have married Hawk, the son of skateboarding legend Tony, in Los Angeles last fall, after previously obtaining a marriage license in September.

The couple walked down the aisle on October 7 and the nuptials were officiated by REM frontman Michael, who is Frances’ best man. TMZ reported.

Frances is believed to have been in a relationship with skater Riley since early 2021.

She was previously married to The Eeries musician Isaiah Silva from 2014 until their divorce in 2017. This is Riley’s first marriage.

Frances, who lost her father Kurt to suicide when she was just a baby, turned 30 last year and previously admitted she wasn’t sure she would make it to the milestone.

In an Instagram post at the time, she wrote: “30!!! I did it! Honestly, 20-year-old Frances wasn’t sure that was going to happen.

‘At that time, an intrinsic sense of deep self-loathing dictated by insecurity, destructive coping mechanisms, and more trauma than my body or brain could handle determined how I viewed myself and the world; through a lens of resentment for having been brought into a life that seemingly attracted so much chaos and the kind of pain linked to grief that seemed inescapable.’

Frances was one year old when she accompanied her parents, Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain, to the MTV Video Music Awards in September 1993.

She added: “There’s a quote from @jaiyajohn that resonates so well with me: ‘the softer she became on herself, the softer she became on the world’. It’s a sentiment I try to remember daily.”

‘As I enter this new decade I hope to remain gentle no matter how hard the world may feel at times, to enjoy the present moment with reverence, to shower the people I am lucky enough to love with more appreciation than words could ever do justice, to hold space for continued learning, so that growth never stops.

She ended by writing: “I’m happy to be here and I’m happy that you’re here too.”
