Chris Sutton slams ‘show pony’ Antony for letting Erik ten Hag down – as he and co-host Ian Ladyman pick their biggest FLOPS of the season on It’s All Kicking Off!

Chris Sutton believes Antony has let Erik ten Hag down with his performances for Manchester United.

The Brazilian, who had joined his former Ajax boss at Old Trafford for a fee of £85.5m in 2022, managed just three goals and two assists in a dismal campaign which also saw him lose his place in the starting line-up. .

At Mail Sport it’s all starting! In the podcast, Sutton insisted that the Red Devils winger had the worst performance of the 2023-24 season.

“(Antony) really made it look like good value to me,” joked former Blues forward Sutton. “In terms of goals and assists, they just haven’t been there. He’s a show pony. That’s what he is and I think he’s let Erik ten Hag down.

However, Sutton’s IAKO co-host Ian Ladyman disagreed and opted for Chelsea midfielder Moisés Caicedo as his flop of the campaign. The 22-year-old was at the center of a high-profile row between Liverpool and Chelsea last summer before he eventually completed his move to Stamford Bridge for a British record fee of £115million. Additionally, Sutton and Ladyman also revealed their picks for most notable players, which just so happened to involve two players with Chelsea connections.
