In this episode of Internal coverageJason Fitz and Frank Schwab pick 6 NFL teams and play a game of “Angels and Devils” to predict the best and worst case scenarios for each team.
They start with the Packers, who still have something to prove in the regular season, and then move on to the Rams. Frank says Matt Stafford is coming off the best season of his career and Sean McVay is full of energy, so why doesn’t Fitz agree with the Rams?
The guys do their best to disagree about the Dallas Cowboys, but they end up agreeing with each other, and maybe disagreeing with everyone else, about America’s Team and what we can expect from them in the regular season.
The Chargers have Jim Harbaugh, but does that mean they’ll be better right away? Or maybe worse? Once again, guys are having a hard time agreeing on this point.
Frank picks the Jets as the AFC’s No. 1 team, but explains why it makes sense, and Fitz expects the inevitable collapse if the Jets aren’t great. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills could excel without the weight of high expectations on them for once.
Finally, we close out the show with “Hammer It,” where each of the guys tells you who they’d bet on to win the NFL MVP award this year. Tune in to find out why Frank is excited to bet on Jared Goff!
