Kanye West has defended his support for Donald Trump, but considered the president "a player" when asked if he trusted him in the same room as his wife.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The controversial rapper and fashion designer supported Trump by explaining that other people can not control their actions.
"Just as a musician, African-American, everyone around me tried to choose my candidate and then they told me I could not say I like Trump," he said.
Kimmel continued to ask about Kim Kardashian's recent visit to the White House, where he met with the president.
Did you ever worry about being alone in the Oval Office with President Trump? Kimmel asked.
"Well, he's a player," joked West.
Kanye West appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night, the talk show host asked about his support for Trump and mental illness.
When Kimmel asked him if the rapper was nervous because Kim was alone with Trump, he joked, "Well, he's a player."
West's wife, Kim Kardashian, met with President Trump in the Oval Office in May to apologize to Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old grandmother.
When asked if he thought "Donald Trump would care about black people," West remained silent, forcing Kimmel to go to the commercial, so he never answered the question.
The interview altered between casual jokes and serious conversations about West's mental disorder.
The talk show host talked about his recent album Ye with the rapper and the song I Thought About Killing You along with the quote on the cover of the album that says: I hate being biopolar. It is awesome & # 39;
"It's important for us to have open conversations about mental health," he said. "We never had therapists in the black community."
