She co-wrote the script with ET Feigenbaum and has been developing it for years with Tatum, whom she calls a “true feminist.”

According to the website, the story revolves around Frida, a young, savvy cocktail waitress from Los Angeles who has her sights set on the prize: philanthropist and tech mogul Slater King (Tatum).
When she skillfully makes her way into King’s inner circle and eventually an intimate gathering on his private island, she’s ready for the journey of a lifetime.
‘Despite the epic setting, beautiful people, always flowing champagne and nightly dances, Frida feels there is more to this island than meets the eye. Something she can’t quite put her finger on. Something a little terrifying.” the description reads.
Multi-talented: Last month, news came out that Kravitz will make her directorial debut with a thriller titled Pussy Island, starring Channing Tatum
When asked about the provocative title, Kravitz told Deadline that the title “means a lot of things.”
“I started writing this story in 2017. As a woman in general, and as a woman in this industry, I’ve experienced some pretty wild behavior from the opposite sex. The title was a bit of a joke at first, this place where people would go, bring women, party and hang out.
‘The story evolved into something else, but the title eventually took on multiple meanings. And it refers to this time and place where we claim to be no more, in terms of sexual politics.
“People evolve and change, but there’s still a bad taste in many people’s mouths about past behavior. It’s a nod to that, but it’s also playful and in many ways a very playful film. I like that the title fits in with that and has a heavy meaning.’
The Big Little Lies actress said she knew right away that Tatum was the one she wanted for the role of Slater because she got the feeling that the Magic Mike star is “a true feminist” (pictured in 2012)
The daughter of actor-musician Lenny Kravitz said she immediately knew that Tatum was the one she wanted for the role of Slater because she felt like the Magic Mike star’a real feminist’.
‘I wanted to work with someone who was clearly interested in this matter.’ she explained.
Tatum, 41, told Deadline that he was shocked that Kravitz chose him for the male lead because he usually isn’t offered such roles.
“This came out of nowhere and the subject made me say, wait, why are you thinking of me for this? No one gives me the chance to play a role like that, everyone throws me in a different alley and expects me to do a certain thing.’
Asked about the provocative title, Kravitz told Deadline that the title “means a lot of things,” explaining, “The story evolved into something else, but the title ended up taking on multiple meanings.”
The actor said it was “scary and liberating” to have a free conversation where he could “mess up and say the wrong things.”
“Slater is a wild character, an extremely committed version – possibly psychotic – but an extreme version of myself,” Tatum said.
‘I’m very interested in seeing what people are capable of, physically, mentally, spiritually, energetically, everything. He wants to know what people are capable of, what they want, and what they are capable of if they want something. And how far are you willing to push yourself to get what you want. For me that replaces gender, race or religion, creed. That fascinates me enormously.’
