Zinedine Zidane has refused to back down in his war of words with PSG over Kylian Mbappe.

He called on Zidane to stop ‘destabilising’ the Mbappe but the Real boss is digging his heels in and refusing to budge.

The young Frenchman has spoken of his ‘dream’ to play for Real, a line repeated by Zidane
‘All I said was something that Kylian Mbappe had already said himself – that it was his dream to one day wear Real Madrid’s white jersey,’ Zidane retorted during Friday’s press conference.
‘That’s all I said, and I’m saying it again today and I would repeat it again everyday. I have nothing more to say about Leonardo, I can say whatever I want.’
Leonardo had previously complained: ‘Honestly, it’s a bit irritating, it’s annoying, it’s not the first time this has happened.
‘I think that now is not the time to talk about this.
Leonardo is concerned that the remarks are a distraction and attempt to ‘destabalise’ Mbappe
‘He is a player who has two-and-a-half years left on his contract with us, so to talk about what he wants, his ‘dream’, every time… if we can just stop this, pause this talk.’
But Zidane’s point blank refusal to respect Leonardo’s demands will have sent a clear message to the French capital club.
They are in the process of offering their 20-year-old star improved terms on his current deal but he is understood to be the top long-term target for Real.
The combative words from Zidane could end up coming back to bite his side if PSG opt to make life difficult in negotiations or insist on selling to another club.

Real take on Eibar in La Liga this weekend. They are locked on 22 points with leaders Barcelona and Real Sociedad, having been held to a frustrating 0-0 draw at home last time out.
‘Every match is difficult,’ Zidane added. ‘Maybe in Eibar it’s more so, because it’s a very different field from the others, smaller,’ he said.
‘We know the difficulty, but there is no easy game in this league and you cannot say that we are going to have it easy in any match.
‘We are ready to put in a good performance, knowing the opponents.’
