Zayn Malik reveals his daughter Khai, 3, has a ‘natural’ music ability as he details life with her on Pennsylvania farm as he co-parents with Gigi Hadid

Zayn Malik praised his three-year-old daughter Khai’s “natural ability” when it comes to music as he shared insight into his life with the little one.

The singer, 31, said she hopes to see how her talent develops as she gets older because she already learns lyrics and chord sequences very quickly.

He said The official magazine: ‘Khai already has many natural abilities. I know, it sounds ridiculous because she’s three, but her language retention, especially when it’s formatted in a musical sense for her, has been amazing.

‘She will remember every lyric of every song she likes. She remembers chord progressions and notes. She can do performances that already have like three or four notes.

The former One Direction singer explained that Khai, who he shares with his ex-partner Gigi Hadid, is already aware of his own musical career.

‘Zayn said that his daughter doesn’t come to the studio, but she does understand that his ‘Baba’ is a singer. Baba is a nickname for father in some languages ​​and translates as father in Arabic, Persian and Shona languages.

The star revealed that if he hears someone singing on the radio, he often asks people around him if his ‘Baba is singing’.

Zayn lives on a farm in rural Pennsylvania, near where Gigi’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, lives, and likes to spend time outdoors with Khai.

He said: “I’m a very outdoorsy person; I fell in love with the landscapes and the serenity.” You have a lot of time to really think about things. And when I found out that my partner at the time was pregnant, I quickly decided that this would be a great place to raise a child because she has a lot to do here.’

Detailing what they do on the farm, Zayn revealed that they garden, camp, and fish, where they can create “amazing memories.”

He said: “I’m just trying to keep it down to earth and enjoying the land, rather than all the noise that comes with it.”

Zayn released his new single What Am I on Friday, March 15.

It came as he officially announced his new album called Room Under The Stairs earlier this month.

He wrote in his Instagram announcement: ‘ROOM UNDER THE STAIRS 17.05.2024 PRE-ORDER FRIDAY’, along with a series of quirky illustrations.

Prior to the announcement, Zayn deleted his Instagram page and posted a single Reel, as he prepared his fans for his self-penned fourth studio album.

He shared a selection of images in the video, as well as music and a voiceover, but did not write any caption.

He said in the teaser: “I think the intention behind this album is for the listener to get more information about me personally as a human being – my ambitions, my fears – and to have a connection with that.”

‘And that’s why it’s so raw, you know, it’s just me writing this. I didn’t want anyone else to come between the music and me and the music and the people listening to it.’

At the end a short snippet of What I Am was played. It had the lyrics: ‘If I told you I loved you, would you say it’s fucked?’

Zayn worked with nine-time Grammy Award-winning country music producer Dave Cobb on the upcoming album.
