Zara Tindall looked ready for action as she competed in a training event at Rectory Farm Arena yesterday.
The Princess Royal’s daughter, 42, known for her equestrian abilities, rode two of her horses, the dark brown ‘Showtime’ and the grey-coated ‘Classicals Euro Star’, in what appeared to be gloomy weather and cloudy in Gloucestershire.
She was wrapped in a navy blue waterproof jacket and was wearing white riding pants, riding boots and a helmet.
The royal, who won silver in a team event for Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympic Games, looked in high spirits as she looked to show off her show jumping and dressage skills.
Known for both her sporting prowess and her sartorial choices, Zara attends equestrian events around the world, as a formidable athlete when she competes and as a trendsetting fashionista when she is a spectator.

Last month, Zara showed off her chic fashion sense by opting for a complete burgundy ensemble while enjoying a solo day at Cheltenham’s Trials Day Festival.
The king’s niece was without her husband Mike and their three children in the Gloucestershire city, known for the racecourse that bears its name.
She bundled up in a long dark red coat, which she paired with matching faux leather boots and gloves.
She finished her ensemble with a black turtleneck and a stylish navy blue fedora, accented with a decorative sash.
The Cheltenham Trials Day Festival is described as “the last chance to see sporting stars go to battle on the hallowed turf of Cheltenham Racecourse ahead of the Cheltenham Festival”, which takes place in March.
Their website says: “With a card now consisting of eight races, where each race is a test for a race at the Cheltenham Festival, there is nothing more exciting, unless it is the Festival itself.”

Meanwhile, earlier this month, her husband Mike Tindall, 45, with whom she shared three children, revealed that one of the few times he cried was over the loss of one of his beloved dogs.
Speaking to comedians Jack Dee and Seann Walsh on the Oh My Dog podcast, the former rugby star opened up about the three dogs he shares with his wife.
Mike, who lives on Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Park estate with Zara, currently has three dogs: black Labradors Storm and Pepper, who are mother and daughter, and Blink the Brindle Boxer, who are named after “powerful women” from Marvel Comics.
She told the hosts: The only times I cried, well, I really cried, (was) when I had a bull mastiff called Misty who died and then Cawley, who was also Storm’s mother when she died.

The former England captain admitted he is worried about Storm, 15, Pepper’s mother, because she is less active.
“It’s difficult with her right now because, you know, unfortunately, she’s very old and that time is coming.”
‘Where you’re asking the question, is she enjoying what she’s doing, you know?’
She went on to explain that Storm, who was given to Zara by her friend when she was a puppy, has lost interest in walks outside and now prefers to stay in her bed.
‘She just has no interest. You give him a leash, you go out, you go out. You have to drag her outside.
“She says, ‘I don’t want to go.’ And I said, ‘Well, yeah, you have to go too.’
You take her outside, try to get her to do it, and then you let her go do her business and she just runs away.
‘She knows exactly where the door is and she knows she can open it, so she just pushes it back onto the bed.
‘She might act in the kitchen as she passes by.
‘So yeah, it’s a really horrible situation. “I think that’s the worst place for an owner to be in that situation.”
The father of three compared Storm, 15, to an older person who doesn’t like loud noises and prefers quiet environments.
‘She’s like an old human being. She hates noise.
“So every time she’s happy like Larry, and then you come down at breakfast time and she’s like, ‘Please open any door.’ “I’m going to a different room because the noise is driving me crazy.”
