Zara Tindall took full advantage of the sunny weather on Bank Holiday Sunday, while enjoying an afternoon at the Houghton Hall International Horse Trials with her newborn son for the second day in a row.

The doting mother of three, 40, who is married to England’s rugby ace Mike Tindall, revealed the first glimpse of their two-month-old Lucas Philip at the event yesterday.

Zara cut a casual figure and pulled a baseball cap over her ponytail and a navy blue waistcoat on top of a navy and white striped top and jeans for the Norfolk festival.

She completed her look with a pair of black sneakers and stylish RayBan sunglasses.

While Lucas was taking a nap in his pram in the shade, the queen’s granddaughter enjoyed the day’s events and caught up with a fellow rider.

Zara gave birth to her first son Lucas, who weighed 8 pounds 4 oz, at 6 p.m. on a Sunday in March on the bathroom floor of their family home on Princess Anne’s Gloucestershire estate.

Yesterday, Zara was spotted introducing her new arrival – wearing a blue puffer jacket with cute animal ears – to a fellow rider before leading horses to the event with her son tied to her.

At one point, she was seen offering a hug to a man while talking to competitors during the event.

The three-day festival is a fixture in the Royal Diary, with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate attending in 2018 with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Meanwhile, Zara, who is the daughter of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, has previously attended the event.

She received an MBE in 2007 for her equestrian service and won a silver medal in the 2012 Olympics as a member of the Great Britain Eventing Team.

Zara and Mike, 42, also have daughters Mia, seven, and Lena, two.

Mike confirmed the news of his family’s new arrival on his podcast The Good, The Bad and The Rugby – calling Zara a ‘warrior’.

In March, he revealed that he’d brought the little one straight down to watch sports on TV, after cutting the cord and enjoying skin-to-skin contact.

The unconventional royal birth announcement via Mike’s podcast once again shows a different approach from the Tindalls, who similarly revealed their third pregnancy.

In the past, the couple had formally announced pregnancies through Buckingham Palace.

A spokeswoman for the couple said: “Zara and Mike Tindall are delighted to announce the birth of their third child, Lucas Philip Tindall.” The little boy is the Queen and the late Duke of Edinburgh’s 10th great-grandchild, and 22nd in line to the throne.

Speaking of the delivery, Mike related how Zara had gone into labor the night before, so they organized daycare for Mia and Lena – but the little boy arrived so quickly they didn’t have time to go to the hospital.

Mike recalled, “Luckily Zara’s friend Dolly [Maude] is that she’s actually more important than me to make sure she had been to all three of my kids’ births, she was there and acknowledged we weren’t going to be in the hospital on time so got it run to the gym get a mat, go to the bathroom, towels down, brace brace brace!

“Luckily, the midwife who was supposed to meet us at the hospital wasn’t that far away, so she drove up there, got there exactly as we assumed the position, and then the second midwife arrived just after the chief arrived!”

When asked how his daughters reacted, Mike admitted they hadn’t said they thought Zara was in labor, but he suspected Mia was talking about it.

“Mia is pretty much into it, she’s pretty smart, so she was like,” Why don’t we go home for tea? ” They went, “they had to come out for something …” “where did they go?” Do you just want to stop asking questions … and when she came in she was over the moon, both were.

“The problem is, Lena is like” my baby! ” And it’s like, no Lena, it’s not your baby! She’s trying to pick it up … so yeah. ‘

In December 2016, the couple revealed that they lost their baby one month after the announcement of the pregnancy.

Two years later, in an interview with the Sunday Times, Zara opened up about the devastation of the baby’s loss and revealed that she had suffered a second miscarriage before becoming pregnant with daughter Lena, now two.

Zara said the hardest part of her first miscarriage was having to tell the world because the news of the pregnancy had been made public.

She explained, “In our case it was something very rare; it was nature that said, “This one is not good.” I had to keep having the baby because it was so far. ‘
