Zara McDermott revealed a man ‘spat at’ her while Christmas shopping in a ‘vile’ unprovoked attack on Tuesday.
The Love Island star turned documentary filmmaker, 28, took to her Instagram Story moments after the incident occurred to share what happened with her two million followers.
She was standing outside a Lidl store with her brother’s girlfriend Alice as she recalled the sickening act.
Zara explained: ‘Guys, Alice and I are really shocked by what just happened. We were getting some last minute Christmas stuff as we walked down the street.
‘Normal, normal things and this guy out of nowhere runs up to us and spits on us. Fortunately, it failed due to the wind and then drifted away in the other direction. I can’t believe it.’
She wrote on the screen: ‘No, I’m in shock!!! What’s wrong with people? along with a crying emoji.
