On her Instagram Stories, she shares a clip of her watching the moment host Michael, 48, surprised the couple in bed in the middle of the night as part of his infamous Midnight Gameshow sketch.
Watching the comedian’s plans fail due to the ancient flames closing his bedroom door, Zara was hysterical as the chaos unfolded.
Laughing: ‘I’m not kidding when I say we thought he was a thief, we thought we were being robbed.
As Michael shouted through the door “clean up”, Zara added: “This was the scariest thing of my life!”

The awkward scenes that continued in the studio with Sam and Zara seemed happier and more loved than ever.

Just hours before Michael McIntrye’s show aired, Zara liked Sam’s latest Instagram video, which also revealed who his replacement on Instagram was.
Assuming a role that Zara would likely have played had the couple still been together, Karen is seen sitting across from an unseen Pete while a suspicious Sam spies on them.
The silly skit then shows Karen and Pete seemingly flirting as they reach out to hold hands on the table.
In what seems like the beginning of an exciting adventure, Pete asks Karen, “Why haven’t we done this before?” to which she replies, “I don’t know, but I’m so excited!”
‘It’s going to taste so good, bring me some more!’
Pete then says, “I’ll figure it out, it’s our secret,” as she seductively responds, “It’s our hot secret, Pete!”
The scene then cuts to a horrified Sam shaking and sweating behind the door, horrified by what his mother and best friend could be doing.
Working up the courage to confront them, he bursts through the door shouting, “Get away from my mom!”, only to find the two of them enjoying a bowl of Heinz tomato soup.
Pete then innocently tells him: ‘We’re just having a mate soup, I didn’t think that would be your thing?’
The scene then ends with Sam pulling out his own spoon and asking, ‘Room for one more?’
