Zach Wilson’s mother has spoken out about her son’s romantic Italian proposal to his model girlfriend Nicolette Dellanno.
Lisa Wilson is very excited about the Broncos’ new quarterback after getting engaged to the New Jersey native over the weekend.
“I love this beauty with all my heart. I couldn’t have picked a better match for my son. Congratulations @nicolettedellanno and @zachwilson,” the proud mom wrote on her Instagram Story in a now-defunct post, alongside a photo of the newly engaged couple.
The former Jets quarterback, who is preparing for his first season in Denver this fall, popped the question to Dellanno during a luxurious getaway to Europe.
“To the love of my life, I never truly understood what love was until I met you. You are not just my partner but my best friend and my everything,” Wilson, 24, wrote in a social media post on Sunday.

“I couldn’t have picked a better match for my son,” Lisa Wilson wrote on Instagram.
“I can’t wait to make lifelong memories with you, Nic. I love you,” she added.
She shared a series of snaps of the couple on the Amalfi Coast, highlighting her stunning sparkling diamond.
Dellanno looked gorgeous in a white silk dress with cutouts around the waist and an open back.
The model also carried a white handbag and accessorized her look with a stack of bracelets on her wrist as she styled her shiny blonde locks into loose curls.
Meanwhile, Wilson was wearing an orange button-down shirt, white linen pants and sneakers.
“Congratulations @nicolettedellanno and @zachwilson,” the proud mom added.
Dellanno and Wilson, a New Jersey native, have been romantically linked since 2022.
“Zach, you are the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” Dellanno captioned his post.
“Every day I admire your strength and I am incredibly proud of you. I am so in love with you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. I love you,” she added.
The couple began dating in 2022 after Wilson split from his longtime girlfriend, Abbey Gile.
The Brigham Young alum is preparing for his first season with the Broncos, where he hopes to be named the starting quarterback ahead of veteran Jarrett Stidham and Bo Nix, whom the Broncos selected No. 12 overall in this year’s NFL Draft.
Wilson previously went 12-21 as the Jets’ starter and was deemed expendable when Aaron Rodgers returned from a torn Achilles tendon suffered in last season’s opener.
“I can’t wait to make lifelong memories with you Nic, I love you,” the quarterback wrote.
The model also showed off her massive diamond ring in a photo of her holding Wilson’s hand.
