YouTuber Tiago Eugenio died after spending 80 days in a coma following a terrible car accident.
The Portuguese star suffered serious injuries after the accident that occurred on the Algarve highway on June 23, from which firefighters had to remove the 28-year-old from the vehicle.
Eugenio was rushed to Faro hospital, where he spent 80 days in intensive care in a coma, but the star died from his injuries on Thursday morning.
His mother confirmed the news while paying an emotional tribute to her ‘great warrior’ who ‘fought for 80 days.’
She wrote on social media on Thursday: ‘One of the things I always asked God for was that I would never have to go through pain like this. I want to inform you that my love, my Tiago, left this morning.

The Portuguese star suffered serious injuries after the accident that occurred on the Algarve motorway at the end of June, from which firefighters had to remove the 28-year-old from the vehicle.
‘He fought for 80 days. A great warrior, but God wanted him that way. I can only accept it with enormous pain, which destroys my heart.’
And he added: ‘To you my beautiful love, mom just wants you to leave in peace.
‘You will definitely have your grandmothers waiting for you, a part of me goes with you. I love you forever. One day we will meet.’
Eugenio, who had 161,000 followers on Instagram and 8,600 subscribers on YouTube, was left in critical condition following the accident on the A22 motorway near the town of Boliqueime on June 23.
Emergency services responded to the scene around 5 a.m. and found Eugenio trapped in the wreckage of the destroyed car, according to reports. Firefighters carefully removed the star, who was unconscious, before taking her to Faro Hospital.
Eugenio, who had 161,000 followers on Instagram and 8,600 subscribers on YouTube, was left in critical condition following the accident on the A22 motorway near the town of Boliqueime on June 23.
Eugenio spent 80 days in an induced coma before passing away on Thursday, and his friends joined his mother in paying tribute to the YouTuber.
A friend posted a photo of her and her husband with Eugenio on their wedding day with the message: ‘My dear friend, you will never be forgotten, you will always be in my heart, rest in peace my friend.
‘I leave here a memory of such an important day for me that you were part of, I thank you for everything you did on this day. Until one day my friend.’
Another friend wrote: ‘I want to send my deepest condolences to all of Tiago’s family, friends and fans! I’m still in shock.
‘He was one of the first people who believed in me from the beginning. And knowing that today we lost a fantastic person leaves my heart in my hands.
‘I had already thanked him several times, but I want to thank him again for how important it was for him to believe in me. I know that you will always be up there supporting me and giving me strength every day. Rest in peace.’
