A grandmother who witnessed her granddaughter’s murder on Instagram live says she will never forget her last words.

Nermin Sulejmanovic, 35, shot his ex-wife Nizama Hećimović, 38, in the forehead on August 11, 2023, broadcasting his execution to around 12,000 viewers on Instagram.

In the background of the video, the anguished cries of the couple’s baby can be heard, who survived the incident without suffering injuries.

While fleeing from police, Sulejmanovic revealed in another Instagram clip that he had murdered two more people before finally turning the gun on himself.

The victim’s grandmother, Nusret, who witnessed her granddaughter’s last moments, says the memory will haunt her “as long as she lives.”

Relieving the traumatic event, Nusret said: “I saw that day that the whole family was frantically watching a video.”

Although the family initially prevented the grandmother from seeing the disturbing video, she eventually saw what was happening.

“I said ‘let me see’ and I saw something that I will remember as long as I live,” Nusret told local media.

‘My Nizama was sitting on the bench, with his jaw hanging, and that monster asked him, “Why did you denounce me?”‘

Repeating her grandson’s last words, Nusret said: “She told him briefly that she had to do it and then he shot her in the head.”

The grieving matriarch revealed that she had seen Nizama just days before his murder, and noticed that her grandson seemed moody, emaciated and frightened.

“Four or five days before she was killed, she came to see us with her daughter,” Nusret explained.

‘She was all scared. I asked her why you are so thin and she told me that she doesn’t sleep because of the child.’

With his daughter in his arms, Nizama left his grandmother’s house, fearfully reiterating that they had to leave.

‘She kissed me twice and left. “She had no idea it would be our last meeting,” she said.

‘If I had known how she lived, I would have protected her, but I didn’t know anything until the last day. Everything was late.

‘Now, six months after everything that happened, everyone is silent. Nobody says anything.’

Nizama’s sister now has sole custody of her son, according to Nusret.

The little girl, who witnessed her mother’s death, will inherit her mother’s pension as well as the money earned from Nizama’s car.

According to local media, Sulejmanovic worked as a physical trainer but was also a gang member and had several convictions for acts of violence, fights and involvement in drug trafficking.

When police began searching for him following the broadcast murder, the suspect later posted another video on Instagram, claiming to have shot at least two other people while fleeing.
