You can finally see the first trailer for Stan Original Film Christmas Ransom, starring Miranda Tapsell and Matt Okine.

The streaming giant has finally released the first trailer for Stan’s new original movie. Christmas rescue.

The fun-filled trailer features a host of Aussie favorites and the best part is that it won’t be long until you can watch it in its entirety.

christmas rescue It’s set to premiere on December 1st, and judging by the trailer, which you can watch above, this is going to instantly become a family favorite for the holiday season.

The festive film stars comedian Matt Okine (Stan Original Series The other), Miranda Tapsell, TV Week Logie Award Winner (high end wedding, the sapphires, child love) and Ed Oxenbould (Stan Original Series To flourish, puberty blues, Paper Planes).

Written by the same team that brought us A sunburnt Christmas in 2020, the new movie is currently filming in Homebush, NSW.

The movie takes place in a beloved toy store, Harrington and Sons. But not all is happiness at the most wonderful time of the year, the store is robbed on Christmas Eve by a couple of clumsy criminals.

The struggling homeowner (Okine) is held for ransom, but when a couple of kid thieves stumble upon the heist, they are forced to team up with a pregnant security officer (Tapsell) to save Christmas for everyone.

“[Christmas Ransom] It’s a true family movie, it’s something that felt like an instant classic. as soon as i read [the script]It felt like something that was a movie that could come back year after year,” Okine recently told 9Entertainment.

Tapsell added: “What’s so beautiful about this story is that, among all the antics, it follows the people who work in the store and it’s about how much they love each other and how much they love Christmas.”

Both Tapsell and Okine cited films like Home alone Y die hard Like your favorite Christmas movies.

christmas rescue It will also star Genevieve Lemon, Bridie McKim and young stars Evan Stanhope, Tahlia Sturzaker and Chai Hansen (the newsreader).

Stan’s Original Movie christmas rescue will premiere on December 1, only on Stan.
