Yellowstone prequel series 1932 changes title in 1923 after WWI and beginning of Prohibition with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren
Paramount Plus celebrated the launch of the streaming service in the UK and Ireland and also announced that the Yellowstone prequel 1932 will take place nine years earlier.
The streaming service announced Monday that the series will be renamed 1923, which will explain “the end of World War I (1918) and the beginning of Prohibition (1920), both of which will be woven into the story.”
It was also announced that Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren will star in the series, which will represent the next two generations of the Yellowstone Dutton family, decades after they both starred together in 1986’s The Mosquito Coast.

Stars: It was also announced that Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren will star in the series, which will represent the next two generations of the Yellowstone Dutton family, decades after they both starred together in 1986’s The Mosquito Coast.
The show follows the Duttons, “as they struggle to survive a historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft.”
In addition, they also have to do with “Montana’s Great Depression,” which occurred several years before the Great Depression of 1929.
The show takes place 40 years after the much-loved Paramount Plus series 1883, which was the most-watched series ever on Paramount Plus worldwide.

In 1883, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill played James and Margaret Dutton, who embark on their journey from Tennessee to where they would eventually take root at Yellowstone Ranch in Montana.
Taylor Sheridan, creator of Yellowstone, created 1883 and is executive producer with John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and Ben Richardson.
The series will debut in December, although no further details have been revealed at this time.

The show is only Harrison Ford’s second TV series in his storied career, following the Apple TV Plus series Shrinking.
1923 is just one of several shows Sheridan is developing through his reported $200 million pact with the streaming service, which he signed in February 2021 and will run through 2028.
The pact also includes a new season of Yellowstone, which debuts on the Paramount Network on November 13.

The show was recently revealed as the third most watched series of the 2021-2022 season, after only Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night Football.
Sheridan is also developing Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone and Lioness starring Zoe Saldana. Land Man with Billy Bob Thornton and Bass Reeves with David Oyelowo.
He also has a new season of The Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount Plus, and another Yellowstone spin-off called 6666.
