A homeowner couldn’t believe his luck after discovering that his humble, exposed-brick Australian home could soon be featured in a new Netflix miniseries inspired by the hit western drama Yellowstone.

The single-storey property located in West Lakes, 30 minutes northwest of Adelaide, caught the streaming giant’s attention shortly after it went up for sale last week.

Harris real estate agent Hayley Staltari told FEMAIL she received a call from the Netflix team on Friday, a few hours after listing the property. They expressed interest in renting the house for six or seven days in October.

They would pay up to $1,700 per day to film in the house during that period and would turn it over to the new owner before moving in.

“It was a complete shock: I called the seller right away and said, ‘You’re not going to believe this,'” he recalled.

The miniseries is expected to partially film in Adelaide from October to November after a stint in the Northern Territory.

Ms. Staltari said the exposed brown brick, single-story design and general style of the house is what piqued the interest of Netflix as they were looking for a location that would fit the show’s “western” style.
