Tensions came to a head during Monday night’s episode of Married At First Sight when Lauren Dunn finally confronted her husband Jonathan McCullough for texting fellow girlfriend Ellie Dix.
Lauren was heartbroken when she discovered her boyfriend was secretly texting Ellie on Sunday night.
In Monday’s dramatic episode, Lauren, 32, demanded to see Jono’s iPhone, only to discover that he had texted girlfriend Ellie, 32, hundreds of times after she abandoned the experiment.
‘You approached her. It’s not just about conveying information that happened the night before, but it’s more than that. “My stomach dropped,” Lauren said angrily to Jono.
Jono, 40, eventually admitted that he had been secretly texting Ellie, but attempted to downplay their relationship as simply platonic.

‘It’s humiliating, there are many messages, it’s constant. And there’s no “How’s Lauren?” Like not once, my name literally wasn’t mentioned. Why don’t you mention your wife once in every 100 messages?
Jono told Lauren that he couldn’t remember the content of the messages he exchanged with Ellie, which angered Lauren even more.
“Maybe, I don’t know, I don’t remember the messages I sent over seven weeks ago,” Jono replied.
Lauren then became infuriated by the personal nature of the text messages exchanged and questioned why Jono felt so comfortable talking about his upcoming 40th birthday with Ellie.

‘I would describe the relationship between Jono and Ellie as inappropriate. Did she mention to you when she was in the hospital having surgery? What a piece of sh*t,” Lauren later said angrily to the camera.
Unfortunately, their confrontation was not resolved, as Jono abruptly ended the argument and left to buy food.
The saga unfolded on screen after Daily Mail Australia reported that the experiment would be rocked by a scandal involving Ellie and Jono.
Ellie and Jono will reportedly announce their relationship during the show’s reunion.
Their clandestine relationship allegedly began with secret text messages exchanged during the filming of the show after Ellie broke up with her partner Ben.
