While some fans made their way to Yankee Stadium to see an exciting game against the Baltimore Orioles, some were treated to their own side-show when a squirrel was seen running right past them.
At one point during the game, YES Network cameras spotted a squirrel rushing past fans seated in the front row of the outside stands.
The rodent was perched atop the padded wall in right field before taking off in front of about eight fans.
Their reactions were captured on video and slowed down as their shocked looks perfectly framed the squirrel’s mad dash down the field as it lost its balance and jumped onto the warning track.
Twitter’s reaction was swift, with many mocking the way people looked in the stands while others mocked the squirrel’s boldness.
